Ward Split

So for the new year, they have changed the boundries for the wards down here. It has caused quite an uproar. Mike and I had to laugh because when we were in Eagle Mountain, they split the ward like 3 or 4 times in 2 years and we went to 3 different buildings. But down here, people have been in the same ward since birth. It's going to be a huge adjustment.

House Update

Our house is getting close to being done. Mike is laying tile and his parents are painting. We get cabinets on the 20th of January and should be able to move in shortly after.


Just to give you an idea of how small the town is that we will be living in, I took a picture of our post office so you get the idea.

Christmas

 

Tenley loved Christmas. On Christmas Eve we went to my Grandma JoBerta's house like we do every year. We ate and played games. It was lots of fun. Then we got our Christmas p.j.'s. Tenley had fun opening presents Christmas morning. She opened 3 and then said "I'm done" and she made me do the rest as she watched. We then went to my parents and did the present thing, had breakfast and then went to Mike's grandma's for presents and lunch. Then back to my parents to shoot skeet cause Gabi got a shotgun from Santa. It was a long and fun day. Tenley was exhausted by the time it was done.

I couldn't even get her coat off of her she was that out of it.

Santa and his reindeer came to the learning center. Tenley did not like him. She wanted nothing to do with him. But she was happy with the book and the candycane he gave her. But she loved the reindeer.

Cutting and Decorating the Tree

Tenley had so much fun cutting down the tree. It was kind of a hike, but worth it. She loved decorating it. Luckily we have shatterproof ornaments because she kept throwing them like they were balls.

Happy 50th Birthday Mom

I threw my mom a 50th Birthday Party. It was so fun. I told everyone to dress up in their best impersonation of Shari (my mom). My mom wears an apron everywhere she goes because she's a lunch lady. I dressed as my mom on Sunday. She has this blue levi jumper she wears all the time. We call it "the dress". She also wears a viser all the time in the summer and these ugly shoes from Hawaii. Gabi dressed up as my mom in the 80's when she taught aerobics. We had a great time playing games and visiting. Happy Birthday mom! We love you!

Beauty and the Beast

The musical Beauty and the Beast was a huge success! I'm so sad that it's over. I had so much fun choreographing the numbers Gaston and the Mob Song. The kids did a great job!

We dressed Tenley up as Minnie Mouse this year. She loved her costume. She loves Minnie Mouse. My mom made her costume. She already had one my size, so I dressed up too. I couldn't get Mike to dress up as Mickey, but we had fun.

Floor Licker

I had dropped a laffy taffy on the ground and it shattered. Some of the pieces were really small and I didn't get all of them cleaned up, so I walked in the front room to find Tenley like this licking the candy on the floor. So much for the 10 second rule.

House Update

The house is coming a long. We are done framing and they have started the sheetrock. I can't wait to be done.

So You Think You Can Dance

So You Think You Can Dance was AWESOME!!! It was like Christmas for me. I was so happy and excited to be there, and it was well worth it. It was so cool to see the dances live. I hope they come again next year. The pictures aren't great, but you get the point.

Peyton

When we got home last weekend, it was to find our dog Peyton dead in her pen. We think she was poisened. Mike was so sad. He loved that dog. She really was a good dog. I told him we can get another one when we move into our house. We'll see if he lasts that long.

Exciting Week (well for me anyway!)

I am so excited for this next week. It has been like Christmas I can hardly wait. I start teaching dance on Monday and I'm so excited. I have missed teaching for Dance Works Studio. Its just not the same teaching at different studios. They just don't get it. Then on Tuesday, I am going to see So You Think You Can Dance on tour. Yay! I love that show and have been patiently waiting for them to come to Utah. Also, Mr. Lyons the Drama teacher at Gunnison High School has asked me to choreograph the musical. They are doing Beauty and the Beast. Auditions are this week. So it is just a week full of dance and I can't wait!

Family Time

We went to my cousin's homecoming and got to spend time with family. It was so nice to see everyone.

I just thought Tenley's hair was super cute so I wanted everyone to see it. I'm surprised she sat still.

Hair Cut

Tenley's hair is getting so long. It was driving me crazy because her bangs hung down in her eyes. So I had my mom give her her first haircut. My baby is getting so big.

Teaching Pre-School

So I got a job at a Daycare teaching Pre-school. It's the perfect job because its only four hours a day and I get to take Tenley with me. I only have 5 students, but compared to teaching 2nd grade it feels like I have 20. They are so much harder to entertain. But it is a lot of fun and I am enjoying it. Sanpete County Fair

We've been helping out at the County Fair again. I swore I wasn't working there this year but I somehow got roped into doing it. Anyway, we took Tenley around to see the animals. Here's a couple pictures.

Dancing Team Dance

Wow!!!

Gabi and her All-American Nominee ribbon-a big deal in cheerleading world!

For those who don't know, I help coach the Gunnison Drill Team. We just recently returned home from camp. The girls did such a good job, and we had a blast. They were awarded the gold top team award for their team dance and a superior for their home routine. They are all so talented and such cute fun girls-no bad attitudes. I am so excited for this upcoming year. The cheerleaders came to the same camp, so I got to see my sister Gabi and support her too. Also, one of my best friends from high school that I cheered with-Katie Jensen (Limb)is the head camp director, so I got to see her too. It was really fun.
