Happy Birthday Tenley!

We finally were able to celebrate Tenley's 1st Birthday. We had a party on Saturday June 14th. All of our family came to celebrate with us. Everyone came to our house in Gunnison. We had a care bear party. It was a lot of fun. I just can't believe its been a year since Tenley was born. She loved her party, especially the cake.

Tenley's First Birthday

So for Tenley's first birthday, we were on our way to California. We happened to be in Mesquite on her actual birthday. So my daughter celebrated her 1st birthday in a casino. They brought her a cheesecake with a candle and sang to her.

California and back again

So you know how I said our California trip could not get any worse, well I should have kept my mouth shut. On Monday, my tooth started bothering me a little, well Thursday night, Mike had to take me to the ER because I was in so much pain and on Friday I had to have an emergency root canal. So much for vacation. So instead of driving to San Diego with the rest of the group, we went home early. But we did have fun at Disneyland with Tenley. She loved Mickey and the rides. Here's a few pictures of the fun we did have.

Trip that isn't suppose to be

So we are on our way to California and everything that can go wrong has. First of all, this trip was originally suppose to be to Hawaii. Well, our cruise line was sold so that was no more. So we changed to California. Well, we still haven't gotten the 29,000.00 back from the cruise line for our deposits. It won't be here until we get back. Then, one of or dancers broke her thumb, another developed a heart arythmia, oh, and when we got back from bear hunting, Mike had bursitis in his knee, so it is swelled and he is on crutches. So we thought ok that's enough problems, well then last night, my sister broke her foot at practice and we had to change bus companies because they wanted to charge us 4,000 more for gas. So this morning I'm laying in bed at the motel in Mesquite thinking what else could possibly go wrong, when Mike turns on the news and says "Oh my gosh, Universal Studios is on fire!" So now I'm thinking I hope we can just get through this week without anymore mishaps.

Goodbye Eagle Mountain!

We finally sold our house! YAY! It has been a crazy week trying to get everything packed up and moved to Gunnison. We are suppose to be out of our house by the 2nd, but we leave for California for the dance trip on May 31st. So we were pushed for time. Plus, the house we're moving into won't be available until June 1st. So we moved everything into the dance shop in Gunnison to be stored until we get back, and then we have to move it again to our house. So its been a little crazy in our lives. I'm so excited to move, but there are a few things I'm going to miss about Eagle Mountain.

I love my house. I'm going to miss it.

Bear Hunt

Mike drew a bear tag this year which is amazing because they only give out 18 per year. He did it never thinking he'd actually get it. But he did. So he spent 10 days in Moab hunting. Tenley and I were able to go down and spend a few days with him. It rained the entire time. He got his bear on the very last day of the hunt. A 3 year old reddish brown subadult bear.
